Touch Base With Bobbie!
How do you prepare yourself for a concert?
Bobbie: One of the best things I can do to get ready for a concert is to ramp up my exercise. I particularly like to jog and that really helps my endurance on stage, even vocally.
Who's your favorite person you've worked with?
Bobbie: Oh, what a tough question! Everytime I think of someone in particular, I think of someone else, too for another reason. There are just so many great memories I can't possibly choose
just one favorite. Sorry!
Lots of girls have dreams when they are little of what they would
like to be.Did you dream of being an actress or singer? If not, what was your "fairy tale" wish?
Bobbie: I always remember singing and pretending to be on stage from a very early age. The acting bug came much later for me.
Which character do (or did) you enjoy portraying more Macy or Krystal?
Bobbie: Quite honestly Krystal has been a lot of fun, so far because she's more brazen and outspoken. I also like her sense of humor.
How didyour hair get darker? was it your idea or do the hairdressers at AMC just do it or what?
do they suggest but it's your choice?
Bobbie: Well, as those of you who have watched me over the years know, I am really a brunette! I was blond for a few years and enjoyed it but my sisters and my parents always preferred the darker hair, so I
decided to go back to it.
How is it to joggle acting and singing do you love doing both?
Bobbie: God willing, I will always do both and I enjoy them equally. It does take a lot more energy and time to try to fit singing into my schedule at All My Children but I'm always glad I make the
effort.
What are the top three things in your music and/or acting career that have touched you deeply
and how so?"
Bobbie: When Collin Raye asked me to do a duet with him I was thrilled. I had been a huge fan of his and the call came completely out of the blue. Then, getting to know him as one of the most caring and genuine people I had ever
known was wonderful. Another wonderful aspect of what I do is the pleasure it brings to my parents and David's parents. They get such a kick out of seeing me on a series and talking about it with their friends. That makes me happy. Also,
performing for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights Aids here in NY is also always so gratifying. The people there at that organization are really terrific and they do such great work for people in need. Plus, their benefit concerts are always
so much fun!
How u like New Yorkbeing on a popular daytime show like all my children?
Bobbie: I have always wanted to experience living in New York City and even after four years, I still am amazed at what the city has to offer. I've also really enjoyed the opportunity
to be on All My Children. We have one of the most talented casts in daytime and being able to work so much with two of the best actors in daytime, Michael E. Knight and David Canary is a real honor.
If you have to explain how you need to act different on B&B and AMC, what would that
difference be?
Bobbie: I make acting choices based on the characters; their history, background, circumstances, etc. One of the most obvious choices I made as Krystal is the southern accent.
What is your greatest memory of being in Holland during your concert tour with Jeff in the
nineties?
Bobbie: I'll never forget the first night we did the concert. We were not prepared for the enthusiasm of the audience. it was so touching.
I read that you like to paint in your spare time. I am curious to know what do you like to paint
pictures of?
Bobbie: I seldom do anything other than abstract paintings, but I have done a few figures, as well. Usually, for me, it's about color and textures.
What is your favorite time that you spend away from all the hooplah?
Bobbie: I love spending time with me new puppy, Nellie. She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is the sweetest dog in the world!!
I was wondering if you and Jeff Trachta are going to do any concerts together in the United States
(or outside)?
Bobbie: Jeff and I are still good friends and we never rule out the idea of working together again. At this time, we don't have any plans for a concert but maybe someday we'll have that opportunity again.
Would you like to see a storyline about polygamy (a family or community with plural wives) come to
daytime?
Bobbie: I think it would make a good story for a movie but I'm not sure it would work well in a soap opera format.
Even if you're not a baseball fan, would you ever consider singing the National Anthemand/or take
me out to the Ballgame during the 7th inning at Wrigley Field during a Cubs
game?
Bobbie: I'm a huge baseball fan! And I have sung the National Anthem at several sporting events (baseball, basketball, hockey, even NASCAR). It would be aprivilegeto sing the
Anthem for a Cubs game.
What is your favorite charity?
Bobbie: I do a lot of work for different charities but right now I'm raising money for New Yorks Citymeals on Wheels which brings meals to the elderly in New York. I'm running in the next NY Marathon on November 2nd and
will be raising money for the charity though pledges over the next few weeks.
Do you have any plans on making another CD soon?

country.
Iwanted to ask you if you would ever consider coming back to the CBS network?
Bobbie: Sure, why not?
Doyou still get into contact with castmembers from the Bold and Beautiful of yesteryear like Joanna Johnson
(Caroline) and the original Thorne (Clayton Norcross)? There was a 20th anniversary show in Holland and they had clips of all the past and present castmembers.
Bobbie: Well, I just had dinner with Susan Flannery last week when she was visiting NY and I do keep in touch with many others from B&B (John McCook, Schae Harrison, Winsor
Harmon, Jeff Trachta, Mick Cain, Joanna Johnson).
Do personal feelings ever enter into your kissing scenes?
Bobbie: Honestly, no. I'm really just trying to allow the character to come through. My personal feelings don't have much to do with the scenes.

Bobbie: I have enjoyed singing on All My Children but I'm happy to focus more on story than singing.

(American) Idol or Ice-skating with the Stars in the U.S.. or abroad?
Bobbie: I would love to do Dancing with the Stars. I enjoyed doing a mini-version of that for the Rachel Ray show. We had 45 minutes to learn and perform a routine for her
show. I loved the challenge of it!
You've travelled a lot, what's your absolute favorite place in the world to spend your vacation?
Bobbie: My husband and I always love going to Italy. I could visit Italy again and again and again and not get enough!
For the new fans, people that don't know you that well yet; how would you describe yourself - what
kind of person would you say you are?
Bobbie: Well, I just read Echart Tolle's "A New Earth" so I'm going to try not to attach myself to labels. Sounds like a cop-out, right? Seriously, it's so hard to define who I am. I'm happily married
for 16 years, we have a puppy, we like to travel, go out with friends, visit with our parents and siblings. I like to cook and read and for the past few months, I've really been into running.
If you could give people who want to become an actor or singer one piece of sound advice, what
would it be?
Bobbie: I say go for whatever your passion is and DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF IT and not for money or fame. If you truly love what you do you will find wonderful fulfillment from satisfaction in it. That's what is
important.
